These are the basic tools to make your cosmetics. You can use your kitchen tools if you want, but have in mind these are just for creams, lotions, makeup etc.
* If you want to make soap, you MUST have tools just for soap making , since it uses Sodium Hydroxide (lye) which is a chemical that causes burns to your skin and can be fatal if swallowed. I will show them to you in another post.
- Pot: You will need this to warm your ingredients in a water bath.
- Amber glass bottles / Glass containers: To bottle up your final product.
- Measuring cup/Beaker: 100ml, 10ml
- Strainer
- Food processor
- Heat‐resistant containers: 2 (One for oils, the other one for water)
- Kitchen Scale
- Earpick (0.05ml): For extra small measurements if you need to.
- Tea Spoon: To mix
- Measuring Spoons: They could be kitchen measuring spoons, but it is better if you can get those for making cosmetics (1ml/0.5ml/0.25ml/0.1ml).
- Glass Stirring rod
- Hand mixer
- Silicone spatula
- Cooking thermometer
